Valletta
is Malta's capital city. Built in 1565 by the order of Saint
John it is still a living, working city, the administrative
and commercial heart of the island. In spite of it being a busy
city, Valletta retains a timeless character. The grids of narrow
streets contain some of Europe's finest works of art including
a multitude of baroque churches and palaces which make this
city a European Art City with great world heritage value.
The
Valletta excursion will take you through the bustling streets
of our capital city. Our qualified guides will accompany you
to visit The Saint John's Co-Cathedral with its breathtaking
richly adorned interior while also admiring the world famous
paintings of Caravaggio. A visit to the Archeological museum
is then followed. There one can admire the Neolithic artifacts
and remains which our island is famous for. Our guides will
also take you to visit the armory of The Grandmaster's Palace
where a great collection of weapons and armor is displayed.
The highlight of the tour will be a visit to "The Malta
Experience", an audio visual show that depicts Malta's
rich history through the ages.
